Applying to 4 Yr College
When it comes to applying to college, the process can look different depending on the schools you're applying to. Some applications are quick and straightforward, while others may have several steps.
There are TWO steps that apply to every college application:
STEP 1: Completing Your Applications
Whether you're applying through the Common Application, Coalition Application, or directly on a college's website, YOU are responsible for filling out and submitting each of your applications ON TIME.
STEP 2: Submitting Required Documents
In addition to submitting your application, colleges will also ask for supporting documents. All colleges will require an official transcript. Depending on the college, you might also need to submit essays, letters of recommendation, or other materials. IMPORTANT - make sure you’ve carefully reviewed what each college on your list requires so you’re prepared to request every document they need.

Admissions Reps to the Rescue!
If you have a question at any point in the research or application process - definitely contact the College Admissions Representative.
Think of an admissions rep as your inside guide 🎓—they can share details about the application process, opportunities on campus 🌟, and even financial aid 💵.
Meeting with a college rep is your chance to learn about programs, campus culture 🎶🏫, and resources like scholarships 💰. It’s also a way to make a personal connection that could benefit your application ✨.Connecting with them shows you’re serious about their college!
Understanding Deadlines - When Should I Appy?
The tabs below explain some of the terms colleges use to explain when applications are due and admission decisions are made.
Colleges and Universities set their own deadlines, so it is VERY important to know by which date you need to have your application completed.
Colleges generally take application deadlines very seriously. Missing a deadline can significantly impact your changes of admission, especially for competitive programs.
Different Types of Applications - How Do I Apply?

SchooLinks is NOT an application website, so students will never complete an application using that platform. Instead students will fill out an application in the ways described below.
