FINANCIAL BENEFITS:
Many students start at a community college to save money—tuition is usually much cheaper than at a 4-year school. Students typically can live at home while attending. which saves on housing and transportation costs, too.
St Louis Community Colleges have partnerships with many Missouri universities, so you can do two years at a community college and then transfer to finish your last two years at a university and graduate with a bachelor’s degree.
Missouri also hosts the "A+ Program" which provides 2 years of FREE tuition for students who complete the program while in high school.

EASIER ADMISSION: Community Colleges often have easier admissions and more flexible schedules providing both online and in person classes.
BE AWARE - Most Community Colleges will require students to complete remedial classes if the student hasn't demonstrated that they have the skills to be successful in the regular classes. These classes cost money.
So, work hard and learn the content at PSH - where it is free! - rather than pay tuition to learn it at Community College, before being able to begin the classes for your Associate's degree.
