Financial Aid
Paying for college can feel intimidating, but financial aid can make it more affordable. Financial aid includes scholarships, grants, work-study, and loans that help cover the cost of tuition and other expenses.
Understanding your options is an important step in building a college plan that works for your family. Use this page to learn about the different types of aid, how to apply, and connect with resources to support you along the way.

Financial Aid Learning Events
The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis offers workshops and one-on-one assistance to clarify the processes for securing financial aid for postsecondary education.
If you are the first-time parent/guardian of a college bound student, I strongly encourage you to attend the Foundation's Three Part Workshop on Financial Aid.
These FREE workshops are held throughout the year online and at the Foundation offices in St. Louis. These workshops are designed to provide students and families with the necessary information to make informed decisions about college enrollment and affordability.
The three-part format also provides you the information you need, when you need it - rather than a one night "information overload" experience.
